Elmont, NY - Assemblymember Solages released the following statement after the passing of Elmont Native and 14-year NYPD veteran Marc St. Arromand on Thursday to a tragic motorcycle accident:

“On behalf of the Elmont community, I want to express my deepest sympathies to the family of our fellow community member Marc St. Arromand. Our heart goes out to his wife and five children.

Marc was an upstanding citizen and chose to use his life experiences to serve his community. He was a 14-year-veteran of the New York City Police Department, and he was a member of the Highway Patrol.

Our prayers will be for his family to see this through and keep strong. We mourn the loss of Police Officer Marc St. Arromand. May he Rest In Peace.
