Long Island Cares Emergency Food Center Now Open Both Wednesdays & Saturdays

Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, in partnership with Long Island Cares, Inc. – The Harry Chapin Regional Food Bank opened a temporary emergency food distribution center at the Valley Stream Presbyterian Church located at 130 South Central Avenue, Valley Stream, NY. The distribution will run every Wednesday and Saturday until the time that New York State on P.A.U.S.E. regulations are lifted. This site will help provide emergency food boxes, including pet food, to families in Valley Stream and surrounding Nassau County communities that are in need. No appointments are required. Staff and volunteers will employ physical distancing practices, and visitors are requested to do the same. If you need transportation to the Long Island Cares Emergency Food Distribution Center taking place every Wednesday and Saturday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM, please contact our office at (516) 599-2972. LYFT is providing FREE rides to assist our community.
