Assemblymember Rodneyse Bichotte Wants You to Know about IDNYC and How to Get a Free Municipal Identification

Brooklyn, NY – IDNYC is offering community members a free opportunity to register for a temporary Municipal Identification Card. This card will prove to be a vital resource, enabling NYC residents access to City services and admission to city buildings, such as schools.

In addition, these IDs are useful when interacting with the police. IDNYC has partnered with 13 local financial institutions that accept the card as a form of identification to open a bank account. The goal is to empower and encourage the many individuals that currently do not have a bank account and expedite financial inclusion in our City.

For all those interested, registration is available at Brooklyn College Student Center in the Lower Level TV Lounge all this month until November 27, 2018 from 9:00am to 5:00pm. To learn more about IDNYC, the temporary municipal identification card, and other benefits, please visit http://www1.nyc.gov/site/idnyc/index.page.
