Hawley Invites Students from Elba Central School to Albany
Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,C-Batavia) had the honor of introducing a group of fourth graders from Elba Central School in Genesee County to the Assembly Chamber this week. The group was chaperoned by several teachers and parents from the school, including Molly Torrey, a parent who visited the state capital when she was in fourth grade at the same school. Ms. Torrey and her class were co-introduced by Hawley’s father, former Assemblyman R. Stephen Hawley. Hawley was proud to be able to introduce this group of students and give them the opportunity to learn more about the ins and outs of our state government.
“Every year, I have the amazing opportunity to introduce students from schools across my district,” said Hawley. “This year was no exception as this week I had the great privilege of welcoming this class to our state capital. I always enjoy the opportunity to give the next generation recognition and give them a look into how our government works. I was glad to be able to introduce this group of students, and I look forward to seeing how they will impact our state as the future leaders of tomorrow.”
