Assemblyman Steve Hawley (R,I,C-Batavia) congratulates Nicholas Corcoran for having won a scholarship to attend a Department of Environmental Conservation environmental education camp this summer at Pack Forest in the southern Adirondacks. Hawley nominated Corcoran for the scholarship after receiving several applications that included an essay on the importance of the environment to each student.
After high school, Corcoran plans to attend college and major in natural resource conservation law enforcement. “Nicholas is truly passionate about the environment and the wonderful natural resources we have in New York state,” said Hawley. “I am certain his experience at camp will lay a strong foundation for his future endeavors in conservation.”
