Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush unveils new legislation, the Commitment to Military Education Act, with his assembly colleague Keiran Lalor. The military tuition assistance program is subject to cuts due to Federal sequestering. Together, the assemblymen are pushing this legislation that will give tuition breaks to military men and women enrolled in SUNY schools. The bill already has broad bi-partisan support in both the Assembly and Senate.
