Blankenbush: Budget Provided Little Relief For New York Families

Statement from Assemblyman Ken Blankenbush (R,C,I-Black River) on the revenue portion of the Budget (A.3009, Revenue Article VII)

“It’s a real shame that the budget presented to the Legislature has failed to help New York families with the cost of living in this state. Residents are taxed on their income and nearly everything else, even on items of necessity. Where is the relief, where is the effort to reduce their costs? It’s just not there. Instead, there is a provision to reduce taxes on the purchase of yachts and private planes. This just highlights how out of touch Albany is with the working people of this state.”
