Assembly District 146
Jack Quinn
Dear Neighbor,
Welcome to my Web site. Here is where I will be able to keep you updated on our community and fill you in on what’s occurring in and around state government. My contact information including address, telephone and e-mail is located on the site, so please feel free to reach out to my office.
Since I was elected to the Assembly in 2004, I have fought for the residents of the 146th District. I know people are struggling right now, and it is important that I make certain that every constituent has access to the resources they need to succeed.
The first step is working across party lines to solve the problems plaguing our state.
New Yorkers face some of the highest taxes in the nation, which hurts our ability to recover from the economic crisis. Allowing taxpayers to keep more of their hard-earned money is a necessary step toward sustainable economic development. That’s why I have been fighting to lower taxes and eliminate wasteful government spending, so we can reduce the burden on small businesses - our greatest job creators - and strengthen our Western New York economy.
Unfortunately, New York must also figure out a way to stop the loss of our best and brightest young minds. By investing in our higher education institutions and helping them strengthen their relationship with the private sector, we can provide graduates with the chance to begin a career right here in Western New York. Right now, I am working with the University of Buffalo and several local business leaders to strengthen this bond and provide the opportunities and vision that are necessary for 21st Century job creation and retention.
Finally, it’s apparent that “green jobs” will be a cornerstone of our new economy. That means New York must be a leader in investing, developing and promoting renewable energies. By utilizing our higher education institutions, including Community Colleges, we can develop clean energy workers that can compete in the global economy.
Undoubtedly, many challenges lie ahead. I look forward to continuing to represent you in the State Assembly. Please feel free to reach out to my district office if you need answers or would like to voice your opinion.
Sincerely,
Jack Quinn
