Assemblyman David DiPietro Statement On Proposed 2013 State Budget

The State of New York continues to spend far too much money. We continue to spend in Albany with reckless abandon and act as though it is merely an issue of the revenues not matching up. As the former Mayor of East Aurora, I know how to balance a budget, and I understand the importance of lowering taxes. The state forces unfunded mandates onto local governments and then proposes reckless measures that negatively affect our municipalities. Any budget that spends more than it takes in is not a responsible budget. We must continue to lower taxes and limit government spending. Only then will the job growth Gov. Cuomo spoke of finally come to fruition.
