DiPietro Hunting Bill Advances To Senate

Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) officially passed his first piece of legislation this afternoon. Assembly Bill 5832 is a home rule bill that would make the use of rifles for hunting permanent in Wyoming County.

“With Albany bent on stripping away the rights of hunters under the false banner of safety, it is important that we take a stand and push back against anti-Second Amendment forces,” DiPietro said. “By making hunting rifles a permanent fixture in Wyoming County, we have secured a victory for hunters and Second Amendment enthusiasts. This is a significant step toward reversing the tide and making New York a pro-Second Amendment state.”

DiPietro is the author of Assembly Bill 6238, which would authorize a full repeal of the New York Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement (SAFE) Act of 2013.
