Barclay Urges Constituents to Attend Free Screening for Alzheimer’s

Assemblyman Will Barclay (R,C,I-Pulaski) is encouraging people to take advantage of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s (AFA) free memory screenings offered on Nov. 15 as part of National Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. AFA is a nonprofit organization that advocates on behalf of the 5.1 million Americans affected by Alzheimer’s disease.

“Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease that affects millions of Americans. I would encourage anyone curious about their memory skills to receive a free screening. It’s important to be diagnosed early because doctors may be able to slow the course of the disease,” said Barclay.

The Alzheimer’s Foundation of America’s National Memory Screening Day will be held on Nov. 15. The free memory screening will take place at the Kmart Pharmacy on 2078 State Route 481 in Fulton from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
