McDONOUGH -- read once and referred to the Committee on Health AN ACT to amend the public health law, in relation to requiring all medical facilities to be able to access every single-occupancy bath- room where a patient could be in an emergency The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The public health law is amended by adding a new section 2 2832 to read as follows: 3 § 2832. Emergency access in all medical facilities. Every medical 4 facility shall have immediate access to every single-occupancy bathroom 5 in such facility where a patient could be in an emergency. 6 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
