"This bill intends to expand the definition of a child victim for the purpose so they can seek awards to the Office of Victim Services," said Assemblyman Pat Burke, while explaining legislation he authored that would  include victims less than 18 years old, who suffer physical, mental or emotional injury, loss or damage as a result of any violation committed against, or witnessed by such child.
