Brook-Krasny Reacts to Gov.’s Budget Address, Calls for More Investment in South Brooklyn
A Statement from Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny (R,C-Coney Island) on Gov. Hochul’s 2023 Executive Budget Address
“While there are many areas of which the governor and I can agree on in terms of state spending, my top priority is to see that South Brooklyn receives the resources and funding it deserves. Brooklyn needs a local trade school to stifle our exodus of residents and provide more opportunities for first generation Americans.
“Our economic development and tourism are hindered by the lack of reliable transportation, and residents are afraid to walk the streets and ride the subways – two issues which could be resolved through an overhaul of the misguided cashless bail laws.
“From Bay Ridge to Coney Island, we are teeming with potential. I look forward to working with the governor and legislative leaders to make our spending impactful and effective for all residents during budget negotiations.”
