Brook-Krasny Reacts to Congestion Pricing Suspension

Assemblyman Alec Brook-Krasny (R,C-Coney Island, Bay Ridge) recently commented on Gov. Hochul’s decision to indefinitely suspend New York City’s congestion pricing program. The decision came after widespread backlash from city residents and commuters who would be affected by this proposed policy. Brook-Krasny is glad to see the suspension of this program and hopes this move will solidify more affordable travel for residents.

“Today’s decision to indefinitely suspend congestion pricing is a victory for all New Yorkers,” said Brook-Krasny. “Residents should not be punished simply because of where they work and live. This move is another step in the right direction, and I will continue to work with my colleagues to make sure travel is safe and affordable in our city.”
