Assemblywoman Paulin Announces Construction Grant Awards to Scarsdale and Pelham

Assemblywoman Amy Paulin (D- Scarsdale) announced that the Town of Pelham Public Library and the Scarsdale Public Library have been awarded $12,847 and $111,280, respectively, in public library construction grant funds. In Pelham, the funds will be used to refurbish the ceiling and replace antiquated lighting with brighter, more energy efficient options. Scarsdale Public Library will use the funds to upgrade their HVAC and fire alarm systems as well as to replace old electrical wiring.

The grant funds are from $14 million in capital funds for public library construction provided in the 2010 State Budget and distributed by the New York State Education Department.
