Assemblyman Santabarbara to Host Home Smoke Alarm Installation Event in Amsterdam

Hundreds of smoke alarms will be installed in area homes throughout the day at no cost

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara will be hosting a “Sound the Alarm” event in partnership with the American Red Cross in the Amsterdam area. Residents interested in participating can sign up to receive up to three smoke alarms, installed in their home by Red Cross volunteers, at no-cost the day of the event.

“Working smoke alarms can cut the risk of death by half and Sound the Alarm will help install up to three free smoke alarms and provide important safety information with families,” Santabarbara said.

Pre-registration is required; please call the Assemblyman’s office or register online at https://nyassembly.gov/mem/Angelo-Santabarbara/story/101736.
