Assemblyman Santabarbara, Schenectady County to Announce New Partnership for Inclusive Entrepreneurship & Employment Program to be Launched at SUNY Schenectady

Santabarbara secured funding in this year’s state budget for pilot program that provides unique college experience for people with disabilities

Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara will be announcing funding he secured in this year’s state budget to launch “The Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Employment Program” at SUNY Schenectady in partnership with Schenectady County and Our Ability, Inc.

This exciting new program will provide differently abled persons with a unique college experience that focuses not only on education, but also preparation for entrepreneurial and employment pursuits. Santabarbara will be joined by Dr. Steady Moono, President of SUNY Schenectady, Schenectady County Legislator Richard Ruzzo and John Robinson, CEO of Our Ability to make the announcement.

“We must do more to create an inclusive, accepting society that values all of its members and takes steps to ensure everyone can participate and thrive. That’s why I’m working to make new opportunities like this a reality for the disability community,” said Assemblyman Santabarbara, Chair of the State Assembly’s subcommittee on Autism Spectrum Disorders.
