Assemblyman Santabarbara Hosts Annual Autism Action Day at the State Capitol

State-wide Autism support groups, organizations direct-care providers, self-advocates, families expected to gather in Albany

Hosted by Assemblyman Santabarbara, now, in its 12th year, this day of advocacy has brought together organizations, self-advocates and family members together with legislators from across the state.

Keynote speaker this year is Willow Baer, Executive Deputy Commissioner of the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

In addition, Assemblyman Santabarbara will present the 2024 New York State Autism Action Award to The Century Club of Amsterdam in recognition of their commitment to hosting events throughout the year with special accommodations that allow for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families enjoy themselves in a welcoming and comfortable environment.
