Why: Join us today at the Capitol as we honor the Capital Region military during Military Appreciation Month. The Senate and Assembly will acknowledge the crucial missions undertaken by our military in safeguarding our national security and recognize their positive influence on our communities, economy, and quality of life.

Highlighted military units include the 109th Airlift Wing at Stratton Air National Guard Base, the U.S. Army’s Watervliet Arsenal, the Navy Reserve Center in Schenectady, and others stationed within the Capital Region. This event, organized by the Unified Military Affairs Council (UMAC) under the Capital Region Chamber, aims to emphasize the significance of the military's presence and ensure its continued success while enhancing public awareness of their substantial contributions to the global, national, state, and regional economy.
