K9 Veterans Day honors the legacy of the official K9 Corps, established on March 13, 1942, and recognizes the bravery of working dogs that have served in the military, law enforcement, and security roles across the nation. These highly trained canines have played an essential role in protecting communities, securing borders, assisting in search-and-rescue operations, and supporting officers in the field.

Assemblyman Santabarbara has long been a strong advocate for recognizing service animals, and this event will underscore the significant impact these K9 heroes have on public safety and national security.
