State Budget Must Keep Funding for New York’s Veterans

The Governor’s budget proposal released last week included a cut in funding for New York State’s Division of Veterans’ Affairs. According to the United States Department of Veterans’ Affairs, there are currently 892,221 veterans living in New York State.

“These are men and women that have made sacrifices in service to our country and have returned to call New York State their home,” Assemblyman Santabarbara said. “They deserve our support and our state budget must do more for them.”
