DiPietro Fights To The End For Developmentally Disabled Funding
March 28, 2013
Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C-East Aurora) stood with the rest of the Assembly Minority Conference in proposing an amendment to restore all of the $90 million cut from the developmentally disabled in this year’s budget.
“If government is going to provide programs to help those in need, this has to be one of them. To have the governor come in here and cut $90 million with a meat cleaver is gravely irresponsible. I was proud to stand up for this cause, and I only wish that more legislators across the aisle believed that this funding is as important as my colleagues and I recognize it to be.”
