A statement by Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) on Gov. Cuomo’s 2018 pardons

 “Closing off 2018, the Governor just couldn’t help but end on one last outlandish move. He’s made a habit of pardoning criminals and law breakers to serve a personal agenda, not in keeping with the spirit of the law. This has progressed to such an extent that he’s granted clemency to four murderers. So in the Governor’s mind you can end another person’s life and be released with good behavior? I don’t know where he can have that thought but a human life is sacrosanct. I’m just appalled he would use his gubernatorial powers in such a fashion.”
