Assemblyman David DiPietro (R,C,I-East Aurora) has begun a program to honor teachers of particular skill and teaching caliber in the 147^th Assembly District. The first recipient is Hannah Johnson, a teacher at Warsaw Middle/High School who has been instrumental in establishing a new agriculture curriculum and restarted the FFA program. DiPietro surprised her at a school assembly to deliver the award.

“Hannah is an absolute treasure to her students and to the Warsaw community at large,” DiPietro said. “She embodies the very best an educator can hope to aspire to, both creating programs to help move her students forward and inspiring them to learn. For an area that as heavily invested in agriculture as ours is, her dedication and passion will ensure her students are equipped as well as they possibly can be to become experts in the local industries.
