“Gov. Cuomo presented his executive plan for the state’s budget yesterday and, unsurprisingly, it was a massive waste of everyone’s time. For those who missed it, he got up in front of the cameras like he does and repeated all the nonsensical proposals he discussed in his State of the State addresses last week. Adding insult to injury, he stood there and claimed to call for unity while blaming the federal government and the president for all his failures since the pandemic began. We are facing difficult times and we do need to come together, rallying behind what makes this country great. Continuing to blame Washington for the governor’s mismanagement, all the while demanding billions of dollars of bailout funding is not how we get to a more unified people and it definitely isn’t how the state should go about drafting a budget.”
