May 5, 2024 – With local basketball star and Monmouth University coach King Rice at the Astor Foundation’s inaugural fundraiser. The Foundation is doing amazing work in the City of Binghamton through community gardening, youth and family services, and neighborhood clean ups.

April 29, 2024 – With award-winning WSKG writer and producer Brian Frey and local leaders after he was inducted into the Wall of Stars at the Forum Theatre.

April 25, 2024 – With Johnson City Mayor Martin Meaney and representatives from the Village’s Police, Fire, and Public Works Departments. I was there to check out the new equipment they purchased with a $600K Assembly grant I secured. Grants like these are a way to recognize and thank the hardworking people who serve and protect the public every day.

April 24, 2024 – With Binghamton City School District Superintendent Dr. Tonia Thompson announcing that funds were included in the state budget to renovate and reconstruct Theodore Roosevelt Elementary on Binghamton’s northside.

April 17, 2024 – Senator Webb and I welcomed the family of the late Billie D. Anderson to Albany to present them with a Legislative Resolution honoring her life and legacy. As a community civil rights leader, Ms. Anderson devoted her life to empowering those around her.

March 26, 2024 – I stood up with UUP and NYSUT in support of our public universities, hospitals, and community colleges in this year’s budget. Our community colleges, in particular, continue to play an under-appreciated role in addressing our critical workforce shortages.

March 25, 2024 – I honored Binghamton University Professor Dr. Anne Bailey as part of the NYS Legislative Women’s Caucus “Women’s History Month” celebration. This year’s theme was “Women who advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.”

March 22, 2024 – Had fun reading to the 2nd graders in Mrs. Anderson’s class at U-E’s Ann G. McGuiness elementary as part of Ag Literacy Week. This year’s book was “I Love Strawberries” and the kids loved it!

March 16, 2024 – At Grippen Park in Endicott announcing that renovations are finally underway! The project is being funded with major support from the state and county along with a $500,000 Assembly grant that I secured.

March 15, 2024 – With Chief Gardiner at the City of Binghamton Fire Department Headquarters after seeing the new turn-out gear they purchased with a $150K Assembly grant. Making sure our first responders have updated equipment is a priority for me.

February 15, 2024 – Welcomed NY Wing Commander Bill Martin, Lt Colonel Michael Woolfolk, and cadets and members of the NY Civil Air Patrol to Albany for their annual advocacy day. I’m proud to lead their legislative squadron.

February 6, 2024 – It was FFA Day at the Capital. I got to meet with some of NY’s 12,000 student members who are our future veterinarians, scientists, teachers, entrepreneurs, farmers, and more.

February 2, 2024 – With the American Heart Association at Security Mutual Life in Binghamton to raise awareness for women’s heart health.

February 2, 2024 – Joined forces with Senator Webb, local nursing home leaders and families to highlight the funding crisis facing NY’s nursing homes. We are issuing a Nursing Home SOS because the financial losses are unsustainable, putting stress on the entire health care system.
