July 31, 2026 – At the Broome County Fair where I was coached on how to show a dairy cow and received an Honorary FFA Empire Degree from the NY FFA.

July 30, 2026 – With DOT Commissioner Dominguez as we officially break ground on the 363 Gateway Project. This long-awaited investment will modernize critical infrastructure, create safer access to downtown, and expand recreational opportunities.

July 29, 2026 – Celebrating Judi Hess, Director of Visit Binghamton, as she retires after 3 decades of dedicated service. Judi has been instrumental in promoting tourism in our community and has supported countless local events. She will definitely be missed.

July 25, 2026 – At the Johnson City Rotary Club’s annual Carousel Day at CFJ Park on National Merry-Go-Round Day!

July 19, 2026 – I was honored to receive a beautiful flower sculpture, created by Jim Hargrave, at the Discovery Center’s Wine and Roses event. This remarkable children’s museum and beautiful Story Garden is truly a magical place for children of all ages.

July 18, 2026 – At St. John’s Ukrainian Day Festival. The church is celebrating their 100th Anniversary this year!

July 16, 2026 – At the first “Women Leaders for Binghamton Athletics” reception where we heard from President Anne D’Alleva, Athletics Director Gene Marshall, and the softball, basketball, and volleyball coaches about their vision for the future. Binghamton is home to many talented women student athletes; we hope that more people will get out and enjoy their games.

July 15, 2026 – Welcoming and congratulating 7 new U.S. Citizens at a Naturalization Ceremony at the Broome County Courthouse. It was a moving ceremony, reminding us that citizenship is both a privilege and a responsibility.

July 9, 2026 – Cutting the ribbon on the new Hooper Road Apartments, which has 80 units of affordable and supportive housing for seniors over 62. We need a lot more units like this to fill the overwhelming need.

June 26, 2026 – Celebrating my friend Carole’s last day as Executive Director of the YWCA of Binghamton after 26 years of dedicated service. She was surprised to learn at her retirement party that the Intergenerational Campus she worked on for many years will bear her name. This is a fitting tribute to someone who has given so much to our community and helped so many along the way.

June 17, 2026 – At the United Way to discuss their recently released ALICE Report, which tells us that nearly half of New York households are struggling to make ends meet. Thank you to the United Way for gathering this information and for running the 2-1-1 resource and referral line, helping communities navigate difficult times 24/7.

June 15, 2026 – Breaking ground on the renovation and reconstruction of Roosevelt Elementary. This came after years of advocacy and effort to modernize a vitally important school and community hub on Binghamton’s North Side.

June 11, 2026 – Celebrating one year of business for Bing Bottling, who in addition to bottling Little Venice sauce, will soon be bottling other businesses’ products. We need processors and bottlers like this to help New York’s food economy grow.

June 8, 2026 – I joined Senator Gillibrand at Binghamton University’s Decker School of Nursing to discuss the Professional Student Degree Act she introduced. It would restore eligibility for higher student loan borrowing limits for graduate degrees in nursing, social worker, physical therapy, and other important health fields.

June 6, 2026 – My final legislative session ended last night with well wishes and tearful goodbyes. I’ll remain in touch with many colleagues who are dear friends, like Chuck Lavine and Mike Benedetto (my classmates from 2005). Thank you to Speaker Heastie for your support over the years, and for your kind remarks and retirement sendoff.My Legislative Director and Albany Office Manager are also retiring; there will never be enough words of gratitude to express to Amy Abbati and Joan Marcy.

June 3, 2026 – At our annual Dairy Day in Albany where we celebrate all things NY Dairy. I always enjoy offering the “milk toast” each year.

June 2, 2026 – With members of the Civil Air Patrol NY Wing as they celebrate their 85th Anniversary.

June 1, 2026 – I stopped by the Vestal Museum to congratulate them on 50 years of serving the community with a Legislative Resolution I passed with Senator Webb.

May 27, 2026 – At Women Veterans Recognition Day in Albany with Ann Marie Hogancamp, Post Commander of VFW 1449 in Endicott who delivered the keynote address at the luncheon.

May 26, 2026 – At Habitat for Humanity’s annual Capitol Build Day. Each year a house is built on Capitol grounds to advocate for affordable housing. This year’s home will be going to a family in Schenectady.

May 25, 2026 – Attending Memorial Day events in the Southern Tier. Thank you to the organizers and everyone who came out to remember those who sacrificed all for our country.

May 24, 2026 – With Assemblyman Chris Tague after our last Agriculture Committee meeting. Neither of us will be returning to the Assembly next year. For 8 years we set party differences aside in support of NY farmers and producers and a lot of good came out of it. Thank you to everyone who served on the committee; it’s been an honor.

May 13, 2026 – I presented an Assembly Resolution to the family of Arthur W. Jones Jr. A graduate of U-E, Arthur was an accomplished professional athlete, playing with the Ravens and Colts in the NFL. We were proud to celebrate his life at the Capital.

May 6, 2026 – At the annual NY Craft Beer Tasting event at the Capitol, celebrating the NYS Brewers Association and all of the talented breweries we have here in NYS.

May 2, 2026 – Celebrating the Broome Regional Farmers Market’s 10th Anniversary. I love going on Saturdays to meet the farmers, producers, and chefs who have tables there.

May 1, 2026 – At the International Workers Day/May Day event at the Peacemaker’s Stage.

April 30, 2026 – With representatives from the Southern Tier Independence Center on Disabilities Awareness Day. They remain concerned with the rollout of the CDPAP program, along with many long-term care and Medicaid related issues. They are also fighting to prohibit paying people with disabilities a sub-minimum wage, which can be shockingly low.

April 28, 2026 – At my final Advocacy Day at the Capital, which is always a great opportunity for advocacy groups to showcase the amazing work they do on behalf of companion and other animals.

April 24, 2026 – At the unveiling of Dr. Rajesh Davé’s portrait at Wilson Hospital in honor of his 28-year tenure as Dean of Upstate Medical’s Binghamton Clinical Campus.

April 20, 2026 – With some remarkable students from B-T BOCES at the annual BOCES Expo at the Capitol. They had one of the most popular booths, featuring the Sisterhood of the Trades Program. Alonah, Brianna, Yasmeen and Madelyn are studying auto, technology, and construction programs.

April 18, 2026 – Thank you to the New York State AFL-CIO, Central NY Area Labor Federation for recognizing me as a “Champion of Labor.” It’s been an honor to stand in solidarity with labor during my time in the State Assembly.

April 14, 2026 – My office enjoyed a meal at Parlor City Vegan as part of eatBing’s Spring Restaurant Week.
