Brabenec Named Ranking Minority Member Of Labor Committee

Assemblyman Also Named To Aging, Election Law, Cities And Local Gov’t Committees

Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C,I-Deerpark) has been named Ranking Minority Member of the New York State Assembly Labor Committee. Brabenec also serves on the Assembly Aging, Election Law, Cities, and Local Government committees. Upon receiving his appointments from Assembly Minority Leader Brian Kolb (R,C-Canandaigua), Brabenec expressed enthusiasm, saying he is looking forward to working with old friends in the labor community, as well as makings new ones.

“Labor is the very backbone of our economy, and the hardworking, middle-class families of Orange and Rockland counties are an intricate part of it,” said Brabenec. “I couldn’t be more excited to serve as the Ranking Minority Member of the Labor Committee for the Assembly. I want to thank Leader Kolb for this honor, and I promise the men and women of labor can always count on me to represent them with their best interests at heart.”

With news of this appointment, Brabenec is announcing that he will be forming a Labor Advisory Committee of the Hudson Valley. Residents and statewide stakeholders in labor-related issues will advise on the diverse issues that come before the assemblyman.
