Brabenec Lends Support To Humane Society
Assemblyman Karl Brabenec (R,C,I-Deerpark) recently toured the Warwick Valley Humane Society to learn more about, and raise awareness for, Prevention of Animal Cruelty Month. Brabenec joined a number of local officials to meet the animals residing at the facility, including an American Stafford Terrier named Chico who was found tied to a tree with a sign asking for a home, and the staff who care for them.
“What better way to show off your love of animals than to wear orange and support Prevention for Animal Cruelty month?” asked Brabenec. “The work Suzyn Barron and all the folks at the Warwick Valley Humane Society are doing is incredible, and I was truly touched by some of the stories I heard while visiting. I’d like to encourage anyone who’s thinking about buying a pet to consider adopting one of the many furry friends in need at your local humane society.”
