Assemblywoman Nily Rozic Celebrates Lunar New Year with P.S. 203Q Students
Queens, NY – Assemblywoman Nily Rozic (D, Fresh Meadows) joined the P.S. 203 The Oakland Gardens School school community to celebrate Lunar New Year and welcome the Year of the Horse. Students marked the annual occasion with a spirited performance that reflected themes of energy, perseverance, and forward momentum.
“I was proud to secure historic victories for the Asian American community: making Lunar New Year a statewide public school holiday and fighting to ensure Asian American history is taught in schools.” said Assemblywoman Rozic. “That’s why I am so proud to see students and faculty celebrate their culture in a way that brings that whole school community together.”
