- Germaine Scott took care of her son Gregory for decades. He was born with Sotos Syndrome, a rare developmental disorder. He also has mobility issues and a seizure disorder. "I always thought that I would spend my life taking care of him," she said.

- Seawright Spoke at Students with Disabilities Higher Education Press Conference in Solidarity with NYS Students
- The panel was attended by over 600 individuals including service providers, and stakeholders. Seawright said, "I am here to listen and learn from all of you who have had to navigate these services and are the best experts. I have been hearing some top line issues namely addressing the workforce crisis and high turnover. We cannot have a workforce decreasing while the number of diagnosed with developmental disability is increasing. There is an urgent need for a stronger network of professionals who are paid fairly to provide competent and responsive care to those who need it the most."
- CUNY Women's Wheelchair Basketball Team, one of only 7 nationwide wide, and representing 13 CUNY colleges, playing Long Island students and adults at Queens College on Saturday, January 21 in Fitzgerald Gym on Lucille Kyvallos Basketball Court. Assemblymember Seawright tossed up first ball for game and took group photo with both teams.
- Assembly Member Seawright with Coach Ryan Martin. Ryan is the advisor for the City University of NY Athletic Conference (CUNY) working to bring an adaptive sports program to their New York City campuses. In that capacity Ryan has achieved bringing the first adaptive sports team in the history of CUNY and inspiring disabled athletes to return back to college. The Men’s and Women’s Wheelchair Basketball team was launched the Fall semester of 2020. This program is the first program in the region and will compete nationally within the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) Collegiate Conference.
