"We know domestic violence affects households, affects children, affects communities. And sometimes these fatalities, it's not usually the result of one incident, it's a result of series of incidents as a victim of domestic violence goes through, that unfortunately may culminate in the death of that victim," said Assemblywoman Alicia Hyndman, who authored a bill that would provide for the addition of the Superintendent of the Division of State Police to the advisory council and the addition of the office of victim services to the domestic violence fatality review team.
