"This will help physicians and other health-care providers decrease the rates of sexually transmitted infections - while expedited part therapy in no way replaces a face-to-face interaction with a health care provider - it can help patients who otherwise not reach out for the treatment," said Assemblywoman Rodneyse Bichotte while explaining her vote on  a bill she authored to allow expedited partner therapy (EPT) for sexually transmitted infections that the Center for Disease Control and Prevention recommends (A.313).
