Help Restock Our Local Food Pantries
December 1, 2011

Two years ago, Assemblywoman Rhoda Jacobs helped create The Flatbush Community Food Partnership in order to provide a forum for members of our community to share their experiences and concerns as they relate to accessing the services and food provided by our local food pantries. This forum has been very successful, and as a result, Assemblywoman Jacobs, food pantries, and their clients have been able to establish a coordinated community-wide approach to expanding services and food distribution during the current difficult economic period when food pantries are being utilized more than ever before.
While Brooklyn College conducts food drives twice a year, Assemblywoman Jacobs' Community Service Offices continues to collect food on an ongoing basis. Food can be dropped off at either office locations:
2294 Nostrand Avenue (between Avenues I & J)
Monday-Thursday, 10am - 5pm
Friday, 10am - 2pm
(718) 434-0446
1414 Cortelyou Road
Thursday, 10am-5pm
(718) 940-0428
