New School to be Built at 75 Morton Street
After four long years of meetings and conversations I am thrilled that we finally have an opportunity to see 75 Morton Street become a school. In a deal, not yet finalized, 75 Morton Street is on its way to becoming a New York City Department of Education owned property. Our struggle to increase classroom seats, to address ongoing school overcrowding throughout the Village, has been rewarded at long last. This building will fulfill many needs for the community.
It is with the support and tireless advocacy of the community, including dedicated parents, and other elected officials that this dream is finally realized. I am thrilled to have been a part of this unified movement! Thank you to all who worked so diligently on making this dream a reality.
